I enjoy classical music, languages, and debating. I've played the piano since I was little, and still enjoy performing and learning new pieces. If you know classical music, ask me about what I'm working on and maybe we can collaborate :) . I just returned from study abroad in Alexandria and am currently attending Brown University in Providence. I love discussing things- anything really. I'm very analytical and direct about my opinions, but hopefully empathetic at the same time.

I was raised, like a lot of people, in a single parent household. My sister and my father were the two people in my life that I looked up to and held close to my heart ( and I still do). Family, in all of its guises, is the most important thing in the world to me. Family can, of course, be friends, relatives, and sometimes people that you've just met. I think I like people who value family because I value family so much. I need more than a superficial relationship with those around me. I need to be close with them emotionally, to talk to them, and to know what they are thinking. Ironically, I also need a certain amount of space, time to be in my own world, to think, to recharge, etc. It's a balance that I'm still learning to strike. Such is being an introverted person who absolutely loves people. I can be mean sometimes, but usually it's because I was raised by people who were very direct and very honest at all times and under all circumstances. So when I'm adjusting to mainstream society, I have to remember the propriety that comes along with it. If I say something that sounds a bit insensitive or unusually direct it's only because I've been talking on the phone with my mother for an hour and have to re-adjust myself to the rest of society.
