Sweet and sincere guy looking to see what is happening in the world of dating. Been single for a minute and looking to change that. Funny, impulsive and sometimes too forward but have a filter and have some serious home-training. I'm a bit shy but also outgoing, if that makes any sense. Love to be out and about but need some time to just chill and relax. All about family and want to meet someone with those same values. I'm just learning about spirituality compared to religion, so I might need someone with some kind of balance when it comes down to the two. I stay on my knees because the world can get rough some times and I need to know that the good Lord above is there in my corner. Like someone with similar passions and understanding because truly, I'm a bit seasoned (40 and proud) but I'm a baby in Christ. I love guys with some swagger because I'm a bit square and corny all in one taco of craziness. All I can say is, it's a huge contrast, which I love and pray someone can appreciate having a cornball for a dude.
However, I love style, fashion and the arts, whether it would be music which my taste spans from classical to jazz, to hip hop and rap and throw in some old school and new school house and club (freestyle) and you have me a bit figured out musically. Don't get me confused because II love and live for old and new R&B and even some Latin and throw some country and you have my heart. As far as the arts go, I'm all about interior and exterior designs but anything you can find at a museum I'm down for. I like sports but love playing them and just getting in touch with that aspect of my being, 'the masculine side'.
I can't front and act like I'm this big muscle head (even though, I'm a bit of a beast 6'1" about 200 Lbs but I think I carry it well) because hopefully one day, I will have the muscle (brawn) to match the brain but I'm a bit 'light in the loafers' and I'm learning it's OK because I'm serious 'WORK IN PROGRESS'. YOU, completely naked (figuratively) and ME stripped down (naked as well not really "NAKED" though) and ready to be open and honest about myself. During this date, I'm praying you are also ready to open up about yourself. I don't want to scare anyone off or have someone thinking I'm already picking out 'wedding china' but I'm thinking why not put all my baggage out on the table. Why not tell someone exactly what I'm looking for and why I would be someone you would like to either go on a few more dates with or I'm totally out of my skull and you can do better. Basically and in a nutshell; "I'm not your type" and you can quietly move on, as I will. Now if we mesh well, then that is when things get interesting. In my hearts of hearts, I don't want to waste anyone's precious time because that is the one area of our lives that we can't get back. Truthfully, I don't want to waste yours or especially my own time because every moment needs to count for something in this beautiful, yet precious and short life.
When your trying to find someone who you might be compatible with, you have to be honest enough with your potential love interests.

My ideal of fun would be to spend some time with someone and not thinking of the time. When time just flies because we are connecting and it could feel like one hour but it's been 8. Anytime that the main topic of the day or night is one another would be fun. Walking some nice trail and enjoying nature, catching a film or eating at a nice but casual eatery. Sitting around in our undies with some fresh sliced fruit, sipping on some wine (white or red), listening to Ledisi or Jill Scott. Meanwhile the massage oil is warming up and the hot tub is ready to be occupied. No T, just kicking back and relaxing, while laughing and gazing into one another's souls. I know it's a bit deep but hey, I'm trying.
