Having dinner at a nice restaurant, going to a Cafe and having a nice conversation over a good cup of Espresso or whatever my date and I desire, and finally we would go to a movie if we find one that interests us. For a soulmate, I guess I would look for a man who is comfortable & happy in his own skin, is honest, understands the diffrence between love and sex, is hopefully good looking (although I prefer someone who is average looking but has a heart of gold to someone who is gorgeous but doesn't have a good heart), is height/weight proportionate (no need to be a gym bunny or a body builder. Just don't be fat or obese), has a sense of humor, knows how to laugh at himself or the world, doesn't hold back expressing himself because he fears it might cause me pain. Occasional pain and/or conflict is much better than a superficially harmonious relationship that is full of resentment and pretense. The latter always leads to breakup and much more pain than the former.Having said all this, you can't really find a soulmate by having a checklist and taking surveys of everyone you meet. Being confident, having a good heart, and being a loving and compassionate person is much more likely to lead one to a happy relationship. But again, I could be full of shit!! You'd be the judge of that. By the way, I absolutely believe in Karma. Even if I'm wrong about Karma, believing in it has lead me to being kind and having compassion for people and never being too quick to judge someone.
